Atlas of Indiana Co., Pennsylvania
F. W. Beers, 1871, 44 pages
Here
offered is a set of township landowner maps of Indiana County, PA
reproduced in high-resolution PDF format on CD. Pennsylvania
county atlases are expensive and difficult to find, but here you can
have the information at your disposal for a fraction of the cost.
These maps provide a detail of the township boundaries, school
districts, towns, roads, railroads, and topography of the county,
including streams and mountains. They also show where homes,
churches, schools, mills, and cemeteries were located. But the
most desirable quality of these maps is the notation of the County's
residents, providing a record of who owned land and where they
lived. Also useful are the business listings included with the
towns and townships. Please note this is not the entire Atlas,
just the town and township maps.
